Facility condition assessment (FCA) of all District-owned buildings, including, but not limited to public schools, healthcare facilities, shelters, solid waste facilities, fire and police stations, correctional facilities, and administrative office buildings. The FCAs identify major capital deficiencies and deferred maintenance items to determine the estimated the remaining useful life (RUL) of assets and the capital cost of improvements.
Hayat Brown’s Role:
Developed DGS’ procedures and protocols for conducting comprehensive FCAs in accordance with industry standards (ASTM E2018-08 and E2018-15) including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical field surveys and assessments of internal and external building systems and site components across all facility types, sizes, conditions, and locations. Hayat Brown worked hand-in-hand with DGS’s data management vendor to facilitate web-based data access and reporting.
